Seismic Sets Sail in Sweden
The Swedish Seismic national network begins work this Wednesday (21st August), with a workshop at a repurposed factory in Stockholm.
The meeting follows Sweden's three focus group meetings in Gothenburg, Stockholm and Malmö. Based on conclusions of these events, which drew a total of about 60 participants, Wednesday's discussions will centre on a few themes seen as important to Swedish urban areas:
- access to and reallocation of urban assets;
- diversity as an engine for innovation and sustainability;
- change through participation and experimentation; and
- adaptability, creativity and resilience in cities.
Wednesday's event seeks to establish a national network that will gather several more times over the next two years to discuss urban challenges and ways they can be addressed through social innovation.
