Wheel-chair app wins prize in Hungary

Wheel-chair app wins prize in Hungary A wheelchair route planner founded by a member of the Hungarian National Network of SEiSMiC has won a competition for social innovation. Peter Bodo, CEO of route4u.org, says he’ll use the EUR 900 prize to improve his company’s app.
The company won the prize from !gen (Innovative Generation) - coorganised by another member of the SEiSMiC network. !gen is a capacity-building programme consisting of three months training, including forming teams for social innovation ideas and providing mentoring.
The competition culminates in a competition between ideas developed or refined during the training. It includes a vote for videos and a pitch contest with votes from the audience and an independent jury. The route4u app was to be available for testing by the end of January 2015.
